MJ Living Legacy Project
The Legacy Project
Michael Jackson
The project aims to give honour to the biggest entertainer of all time. Annually, to commemorate MJ, an apple tree is usually planted; this came to be not only because MJ’s nickname was Apple head but also to combat deforestation in Amazon.
So, the name, MJ Living Legacy Project, is a connotation of what the whole project stands for. MJ stands for Michael Jackson; living represents the tree being birthed to life, and legacy implies carrying on with MJ’s legacy to save the planet.
As such, all fans worldwide are welcome on the 25th of June every year to plant an apple tree. There is no need to donate money, as we are not a charity foundation. What you need to execute the action is to buy a plant from your florist and plant it either on your balcony or garden.
You also check with your florist to make sure those plants are the best ones to plant around that period. It’s possible that you’d also need to pick a grown plant and not a struggling one to ensure survival. This is dependent on where you live.
Ever since the year 2009, we have sought the best possible ways to commemorate the legendary Michael Jackson. Some of them include paper lanterns and sky lanterns, but we discovered they were posing a danger to the animals and our environment.
However, with the latest project, we ensure that we keep the planet safe, not endangering plants or flowers or increasing fire risk. But they are largely making a difference in the world.
Annually, we ensure that we post pictures of all these activities, so do well to send us yours alongside your name and your county of residence. You can always send us a mail or post on social media and tag us.
